Ask the attorney’s how many times they have gone to trial. Many law firms try to settle cases out of court to save time, so they can handle more cases. Your goal is to get what you’re entitled to. While settling is sometimes your best option, you still want a lawyer who is willing to go to court to fight for your rights. Are you comfortable with the attorney? It’s always a good idea to talk with several attorney’s and gather information about each. You want to choose someone who you feel confident and comfortable with.

Find out how much the case is going to cost. Make sure you find out the price in every scenario, so there are no surprises. Ask about payment methods as well. Ask if they accept payment plans. Only after you know this information should you consider hiring the attorney.

Find out which attorney will be doing the work on your case. Some law firms will have you meet with the main attorney, and then have someone with less experience do the actual work on the case. This is ok, as long as you are aware of it.
